Council Budgets to commence Trackside Entrance and Grandstand Way

Council, at its July Special Council Meeting, approved funding to commence the construction of two key roads.

$1m has been allocated to each street to commence construction this financial year.

Both link Junction Parade and Morrison Road.

Trackside Entrance is to the west of Weeip Park, and will be the key access road for the proposed significant expansion of Gilberts – the popular fresh food market for Midland locals and those passing through (left image).

Grandstand Way is to the east of Weeip Park, the Youth Zone and the Childrens Playground. It will be the access road for the lot adjacent to Australia Post and providence Lifestyles proposed vertical village on the corner of Grandstand Way and Junction Parade – opposite the Catalyst building (right image).

Work is anticipated to start in late 2024 and will continue into the 2025/26 financial year.
